Job Description: Software Engineering Intern

This is your chance to join a team of world-class software engineers, cloud computing experts, and AI visionaries at Salesforce during our 12-week internship program. You’ll work on projects across various applications and platforms, all infused with the power of artificial intelligence, shaping the future of Customer Relationship Management Solutions with a strong emphasis on AI-driven innovation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with and contribute to your team, working on real projects that make a real impact.
• Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and learn valuable skills.
• Gain hands-on experience with architecture, design, implementation, and testing.
• Contribute to building products that customers trust and love.

In addition to your daily work:

• Participate in global onboarding, engineering-specific training, and intern-specific onboarding to ensure you’re set up for success.
• Attend events like Executive Speaker Series, Volunteer Time Off, Workshops, and Socials.
• Receive recruiter check-ins, general guidance, and support to make the most of your internship experience.
• Participate in any of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
• Interact with senior executives and network with employees across the company.

As a Futureforce intern, you’ll not only contribute to meaningful work, but you’ll also have the opportunity to learn, grow, and network.

Required Qualifications:

• This candidate must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) operating on U.S. Soil who does not hold dual citizenship.
• You agree to complete a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government and gain other clearances as deemed appropriate for the role.
• Enrolled and working towards obtaining a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Must be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree.
• Must be attending a College or University in North America.
• Team player with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming/design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals and how to apply them to code.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Python, GoLang.

Preferred Qualifications:

• General knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Terraform.
• Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas through writing, using diagrams, and verbally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to putting quality first and delivering quality solutions.
• Self-starter and possess a strong sense of self-motivation.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
