Key Responsibilities

As a Software Engineering Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting software development projects by participating in coding, testing, and debugging activities.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of software solutions using programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.
  • Collaborating with team members to gather and analyze business requirements for software projects.
  • Engaging in application development tasks.
  • Contributing to the improvement of business processes through software solutions and automation.
  • Participating in software project planning and management activities to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Utilizing tools for user interface design and development.
  • Learning and applying software development methodologies and coding standards to maintain code quality.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving software issues to enhance application performance.
  • Observing and learning from experienced team members to gain exposure to software engineering practices and methodologies.

What You Must Have (Required Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application.
  • Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student’s final year of school.
  • Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student’s final year of school.

What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Computer and Data Engineering, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering.
  • Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA.
  • Experience or interest in leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working, and deliver distinctive outcomes.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Excellence in software development methodologies and application development.
  • Participation in software project management and solution architecture.
  • Engagement in business process improvement and teamwork initiatives.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 – $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
