The Opportunity – Software Engineering Intern:
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of software and product innovation, contributing to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge applications. You will engage with client support teams, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and learning how to apply your skills in software engineering to create impactful solutions. In this role, you will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the team’s success. This position emphasizes learning and gaining exposure to PwC’s practices, allowing you to observe professional work environments and develop your personal brand.

Responsibilities:
• Supporting software development projects by participating in coding, testing, and debugging activities.
• Assisting in the design and implementation of software solutions using programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.
• Collaborating with team members to gather and analyze business requirements for software projects.
• Engaging in application development tasks.
• Contributing to the improvement of business processes through software solutions and automation.
• Participating in software project planning and management activities to meet project timelines and objectives.
• Utilizing tools for user interface design and development.
• Learning and applying software development methodologies and coding standards to maintain code quality.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving software issues to enhance application performance.
• Observing and learning from experienced team members to gain exposure to software engineering practices and methodologies.

What You Must Have (Basic Qualifications):
• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
• Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application.
• Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student’s final year of school.
• Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student’s final year of school.

What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
• Preference for at least one of the following field(s) of study: Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Computer and Data Engineering, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering.
• Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA.
• Experience leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working, and deliver distinctive outcomes.
• Demonstrating proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Excelling in software development methodologies and application development.
• Participating in software project management and solution architecture.
• Engaging in business process improvement and teamwork initiatives.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is: $29.25 – $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
