Job Description: Software Engineering Intern
This is an entry-level internship for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025, offering the opportunity to contribute to Intel’s software engineering landscape. The role involves a variety of tasks designed to build practical skills and contribute to real-world projects. Interns will be immersed in learning fundamental technical software skills and contribute to the development of open and secure software platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and innovation within Intel’s software engineering landscape: The intern will actively participate in ongoing projects, contributing to the development and improvement of software systems.
• Learning fundamental technical software skills: The internship provides hands-on experience across a range of software engineering areas.
• Delivering open and secure software platforms: Interns contribute directly to the development of platforms that meet Intel’s standards for security and openness.
• Driving industry standards: The work will align with and potentially contribute to industry best practices.
• Building the infrastructure of tomorrow: Interns will work on solutions for large-scale data processing, intelligent devices, and cloud computing.
• Hands-on tasks: The internship involves practical work such as:
• Code Review
• Hardware Design Review for Software Engineering
• High-Level Software Design Programming
• Providing input on Software Architecture
• Software Debug
• Honing programming and scripting abilities: The internship will significantly improve programming skills across multiple languages and scripting environments.
• Contributing to Intel’s product features and functions: The intern’s work will directly impact the software ecosystem supporting Intel’s innovative products.
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Requires 3+ months of education or industry experience. (This can be a combination of coursework, projects, research, and prior work experience).
Additional Information:
Relocation benefits may be available, depending on location and role. The work location and modality (hybrid or on-site) will be specified during the offer process. The position is not available in Colorado and is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
