Detailed Job Description:
This is a Software Engineering internship for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025. The internship is entry-level and provides opportunities to learn fundamental software engineering skills and contribute to Intel’s software ecosystem. The role involves working on open and secure software platforms, influencing industry standards, and building infrastructure for future technologies.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Contributing to the development of software for big data, intelligent devices, and cloud computing.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Engaging in hardware design reviews for software engineering.
• Contributing to high-level software design and programming.
• Providing input on software architecture.
• Honing programming and scripting abilities.
• Debugging software.
The ideal candidate will be developing skills in:
• Code Review
• Hardware Design Review for Software Engineering
• High-Level Software Design Programming
• Programming Languages
• Scripting
• Software Architecture Input and Feedback
• Software Debug
This posting acts as a prescreen for various software engineering roles at Intel, including (but not limited to): AI Frameworks Engineer, AI Software Development Engineer, Cloud Software Development Engineer, Development Tools Software Engineer, Driver Validation Engineer, Firmware Development Engineer, GPU Software Development Engineer, Middleware Development Engineer, Software Application Development Engineer, Software Research Engineer/Scientist, System Software Development Engineer, and System Software Validation Engineer.
Qualifications:
• Enrolled in or pursuing a Master’s degree OR Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ months of education or industry experience. (Experience can be a combination of coursework, projects, research, and prior jobs/internships.)
