Job Description:
As a Qualcomm Software Engineering Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what exists and help establish the new standards for tomorrow. You will work as an equal contributor alongside world-class engineers to develop, implement, and maintain software for some of the most complex wireless devices in the industry.
You will leverage your computer science or engineering degree to make an immediate impact on the software development lifecycle of Qualcomm’s numerous software technologies. This internship offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience and contribute to the cutting-edge innovation happening at Qualcomm.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of software for complex wireless devices.
• Work closely with experienced engineers on challenging projects.
• Leverage your programming skills in C, C++, or Python to create robust and efficient software solutions.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from design to testing and deployment.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Must be available for 11-14 weeks (preferred 12-14) during Summer 2025 (May-September) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages C, C++, or Python.
Preferred:
• Extensive programming experience in C/C++.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented software design and development principles.
• Experience with distributed systems and networking protocols.
• Proficiency in multi-threaded programming.
• Knowledge of multi-core and multi-processor systems.
• Experience with system performance optimization.
• Expertise in complex software debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with modeling concepts (e.g., discrete event simulation, polyglot programming).
• Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., bridging, routing), particularly in Linux.
• Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation within the upcoming year (Dec 2025 to June 2026) are preferred.
