Job Description:
Apple is seeking highly motivated engineering students with strong backgrounds in Back-End Engineering, Core OS, Web Development, and iOS and/or macOS app development. These interns will join a team of skilled software engineers and contribute to Apple’s ongoing innovation.
Some responsibilities in Software Engineering may include:
• Backend Development: Building the features that Apple users love (like Siri) by presenting data to user-facing applications. Opportunities exist in areas like:

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Core OS: The Core OS team develops core technologies deployed across all Apple products, including iPhone, iPad, Watch, MacBook, iMac, Apple TV, Vision Pro, and audio accessories.
• User Experience (UX): Working closely with other designers, UX interns are responsible for building elegant, simple, intuitive, and impactful user experiences in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• User Interface (UI): UI interns work with the UX team, backend engineers, and other front-end engineers to develop web portals for building end-to-end software development journeys.
• iOS and Web Development: Interns will help build web-based and iOS tools and applications to improve Apple’s products and enhance the customer experience. They contribute to crafting the direction of products by considering architecture, performance, testing, design, and implementation.
• Information Systems & Technology (IS&T): IS&T interns will work on critical business and technical infrastructure, handling tasks like:
• Processing online store orders
• Building applications to improve retail store experiences
• Developing solutions for customer device support
• Providing network bandwidth for global services
• Processing iTunes transactions
• Managing systems and services like Apple ID and the Apple website
• Information Security: Information security interns help protect Apple’s information (business, employee, and customer data) by:
• Protecting against threats that compromise systems
• Monitoring internal environment stability and security
• Tracking emerging threats and vulnerabilities
