About the Role: Software Engineer Intern

We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our agile development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building next-generation user interfaces and experiences, contributing to high-quality products across Web, iOS, and Android platforms. Our backend services leverage Kubernetes within AWS, making this an ideal role for curious, motivated learners passionate about modern cloud environments.

This is a highly collaborative position, engaging directly with product owners, designers, and testers within a Scrum environment. We welcome both hybrid and remote candidates.

Key Responsibilities (You Will):

  • Contribute to high-quality code that helps build software solutions within an agile development environment.
  • Support testing efforts, assist with deployments, and help maintain multiple development and production environments.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and estimation meetings to learn professional team development practices.
  • Assist with containerization tasks, including troubleshooting and building images to support scalable services.
  • Utilize Git and collaborative repositories for version control and effective team-based development.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product owners, designers, and QA testers to help deliver comprehensive software solutions.

Who You Will Work With:

This position reports directly to the Software Engineering Manager and collaborates closely with Product Owners and Designers.

Qualifications:

Must Have’s:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding.
  • Minimum of 3 years of coursework completed, or Junior equivalent standing in your academic program.
  • Demonstrated experience with software development through coursework, academic projects, or personal projects.
  • Exposure to at least one of the following technologies through coursework or projects: Flutter, Dart, or Android.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong desire and proven ability to learn new technologies and best practices quickly.

Nice To Have’s:

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture or serverless concepts through coursework or projects.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release, and deployment concepts.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Introductory knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, React, and MSSQL.
