Software Engineering Intern Job Description
As a Software Engineering Intern at Vial, you’ll be at the heart of building end-to-end products that power clinical trials. You’ll work alongside a nimble and talented team, making a real impact on the industry. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology who want to contribute their expertise and learn from the best.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the team to establish Vial’s technical vision and architecture.
• Build applications end-to-end using a blend of traditional software development frameworks and low/no-code tools.
• Write clean, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code and documentation.
• Provide valuable input on the product roadmap and future plans.
• Participate in the development of large-scale projects at all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Continuously learn and improve your skills by staying up to date on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Who They Are Looking For:
• 1-2 years of experience with full stack engineering (internships, side projects, etc.)
• Experience working with JavaScript and widely adopted libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Express)
• Experience working with one or more general purpose programming languages (TypeScript, Python, C#, etc.)
• Ability to work regular US working hours (East or West Coast)
• A proven track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
• Knowledge of modern web technologies and testing frameworks.
• Experience working with databases.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with experience in a startup environment (preferred).
• Experience with healthcare or clinical trials (a plus).
