Job Description: Software Engineering Interns

Talos is offering exciting internship opportunities for students passionate about gaining hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines. They are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals who thrive on solving complex problems.

Internship opportunities exist across these Engineering functions:

• Backend
• Client Services
• Connectivity
• Data
• Frontend
• TechOps

As an Engineering Intern at Talos, you’ll get to:

Work on real-world projects: Contribute to innovative solutions that are shaping the future of the digital asset market.
Collaborate with industry experts: Learn from and work alongside engineers who have built trading systems for some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
Build from scratch: Talos utilizes best-practice and modern tools to create solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the digital asset industry.
Build ambitiously: This 12-week program, running from June to August 2025, will provide valuable experience and allow you to make a real impact.

This internship is only open to current university students graduating Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.

Location: Depending on the team, internship opportunities are available in NYC, London, Singapore, and Nicosia. Work authorization in the internship location is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

While responsibilities will vary based on the specific Engineering function you join, here are some examples of potential projects:

Front-End Engineering Intern:

• Assist in developing and maintaining user-facing features for web applications.
• Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Apply best practices in front-end development.

Backend Engineering Intern:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of server-side logic.
• Work on database schemas, data storage solutions, and application APIs.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Assist in integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end engineers.

Data Engineering Intern:

• Contribute to the design and construction of platform infrastructure for processing and analyzing large volumes of market data and client transactions.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines using information from the Talos platform and external market data sources.
• Utilize database systems and gain an understanding of analytics and application databases.
• Explore cutting-edge technology developments for handling and processing big data.

Client Support Intern:

• Assist in automating processes to efficiently handle client issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and address client needs.
• Apply best practices in client support and relationship management.

TechOps Intern:

• Ensure the stability of the existing infrastructure while working on the next generation of infrastructure as a service.
• Collaborate with expert engineers to learn and implement standard processes, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Design automation solutions for ticketing systems to streamline incident response.
• Develop reporting mechanisms to provide insights into system health and incident trends.

Qualifications:

• Class of 2026 pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in financial institutions or technology companies.
• Understanding of trading technology (a plus).
• Experience or exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Strong command of programming languages.
• Thrive during the full-code life-cycle and enjoy creating solutions to problems.
• Experience with coding projects outside of school/work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Energetic, creative, and autonomous self-starter.
• Interest in digital assets markets/trading (a plus).
