This job description is for a 2025 internship program aimed at motivated, enthusiastic, and innovative students. The internship program offers a 10-12 week experience where interns will gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams on real-world problems. They will also have the opportunity to tour state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities, interact with company leaders, build a professional network, and gain the skills and knowledge to become future leaders in the aerospace industry.

The internship specifically focuses on engineering and offers opportunities to support projects in space systems, military systems, commercial aircraft, or technology development. Various engineering disciplines are included, such as Digital & Systems Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Flight & Flight Operations Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials, Process & Physics Engineering, Mechanical & Structural Engineering, Product Security Engineering, Product Support Engineering, Production Engineering, Safety & Airworthiness Engineering, Software Engineering, and Test & Evaluation Engineering.

The internship is available in multiple U.S. locations and may be hybrid, onsite, or virtual depending on the specific position. Some positions may require a US Security Clearance, a NASA facility access, or participation in random drug and alcohol testing.

Basic qualifications include the ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2025 or part-time during the school year, a major in a core engineering or applied science discipline, and enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2025. Current students at Virginia Tech are preferred.

Preferred qualifications include strong academic performance, exceptional organizational and collaboration skills, strong technical experiences, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine interest and enthusiasm for engineering, aerospace, and a career with Boeing.

Relocation is offered for some positions based on candidate eligibility. Boeing is a drug-free workplace with pre-employment drug testing.
