The Global Industry Unit (GIU) is a specialized development organization known for its deep domain expertise in building and operating industry-specific cloud applications. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do

  • Perform testing and debugging of Oracle software.

Qualifications: What You’ll Bring

To be considered for a Software Engineer position within the Global Industry Units, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) outlined below. Please ensure your application clearly demonstrates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume or through additional uploaded documents (e.g., transcripts).

Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs):

  • Visa Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this role. This means Oracle is not in a position, now or in the future, to offer US immigration sponsorship (including H-1B, TN, O-1, green card, or F-1 training plans/evaluations).
  • Location: Must reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science (or an equivalent science/engineering field) AND be returning to the program after completion of the internship.
  • Programming Proficiency: Proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in at least two of the following programming languages:
    • Java
    • Python
    • C#
    • SQL
    • JavaScript
    • CSS
    • HTML
  • Technical Experience: Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and/or research in at least three of the following areas:
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Algorithms
    • Big Data
    • Data Structures
    • Database
    • Machine Learning
    • Object-Oriented Programming
    • Software Programming
    • Web/Mobile Development
    • Micro-Services Architecture
    • Container Architecture (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
    • User Interface Design
  • Practical Experience: Completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hiring Range (US):

  • Hourly: $19.62 – $53.00 per hour
  • Annually: $40,800 – $110,240 per year

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed within the range based on these factors and internal peer equity.

    • Paid Sick Leave: 72 hours upon hire, refreshes annually, with a carry-over cap of 112 hours.
