Job Description:

This role within Airbnb’s Hotels organization involves designing and implementing complex features for their hotel booking platform. The position requires a data-driven approach, emphasizing performance optimization. Responsibilities include:

Software Development: Architecting and implementing complex backend/full-stack features.
Collaboration: Working with engineers and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical requirements.
Technical Expertise: Staying current with leading-edge practices in workflow orchestration systems. Contributing to and improving coding standards, development processes, and best practices.
System Quality: Demonstrating a passion for efficiency, availability, and overall system quality.
Communication: Possessing excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Architecture: Experience with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures.

Required Expertise:

2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in backend/full-stack development.
Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Exposure to Java and/or Kotlin.
Passion for efficiency, availability, technical quality, and system quality.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures.
