Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of our AI/ML platform, including data pipelines, model training infrastructure, serving frameworks, and monitoring tools.
• Build scalable and reliable machine learning infrastructure that can handle large datasets and high-throughput model inferences.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand their needs and translate them into platform features and improvements.
• Implement best practices for MLOps, including version control for models and data, automated testing, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for ML pipelines.
• Optimize the performance and efficiency of our ML systems, focusing on resource utilization and latency reduction.
• Evaluate and integrate new open-source and commercial technologies to enhance our platform capabilities.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and the overall improvement of engineering practices within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the AI/ML platform and its integrations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on building scalable backend systems or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++. Python is highly preferred for ML infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their managed services (e.g., S3, EC2, Kubernetes, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Dask.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to debug complex systems and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and platforms (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, ZenML, Sagemaker MLOps).
• Understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and lifecycle.
• Experience with stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
• Contributions to open-source projects related to ML infrastructure or data engineering.
