Job Description: Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at MFC, you’ll join a vast network of software professionals, working on cutting-edge technologies for both existing and new development platforms. You’ll play a critical role in solving the world’s most challenging problems, contributing to projects in diverse domains like aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, healthcare, and homeland defense.

This specific opening is seeking a graduating Software Engineering student with C/C++ experience to:
• Develop and maintain embedded software applications and/or desktop applications
• Contribute to the full software life cycle (requirement, design, code, test, integration)
• Work with embedded multi-core systems and desktop computer applications for sensor and countermeasure emulation
• Develop user and data display interfaces (GUI experience is a plus)
• Apply industry standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout development
• Collaborate with a team, including a designated “buddy” for daily support and technical/career leaders
Ideal candidates will have:
• Experience with Linux OS
• Previous internship experience
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
• Software development experience in C/C++
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
• US Citizenship

Telecommuting: Part-time remote telework is available, with the specific schedule determined during the hiring process.
Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance, therefore, US Citizenship is required. A Secret clearance is necessary, or the ability to obtain one. Additional Special Access Program (SAP) approval may be required.
