Software Engineer at HRT

As a Software Engineer at HRT, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining the critical technology and infrastructure that drives their trading operations. The code you write will directly impact their success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain core systems for their live trading platform and research environment.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers to design and implement trading algorithms.
• Work in a fast-paced, real-time environment, monitoring and optimizing trading performance.

Ideal Candidate:

• Full-time undergraduate student in computer science or a related field graduating in 2025.
• Excellent design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with UNIX operating systems (specifically Linux), system/processor performance, and network communication.
• Interest in low-level architecture, logic design, and/or verification is a plus.

• Curiosity for all things computer-related and enjoys tinkering and exploring new technologies.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, quickly analyzing and fixing problems.
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain software designs at various levels of detail.

Compensation:

• Annual base salary range of $175,000 to $250,000.
• Sign-on and discretionary performance bonus.
