Job Description: Software Development Intern
This Software Development Intern position is with Audax Group’s business solutions team, located in Utah. The role is ideal for a dynamic and motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in IT software application design, development, and deployment.
Position Summary:
As a Software Development Intern, you will be a key resource on the development team, actively involved in enhancing, testing, and documenting system workflows. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including data engineering, reporting, strategic resources, and deal teams, to create or modify processes that align with business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Collaboration: Participate in weekly and ad-hoc meetings across different departments, engaging with stakeholders at all levels to foster innovation and deliver effective solutions.
• Development & Deployment: Design and implement automated processes utilizing various programming languages or cloud-based tools.
• Data Ecosystem Management: Play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling Audax’s data ecosystem.
• Code Quality: Contribute to improving code quality through participation in code reviews.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Assist the team with troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
• Backend Services: Contribute to the development of REST APIs and other backend services.
• Data Pipelines: Play an integral role in designing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and analytical pipelines for investment professionals.
• Data Quality: Provide data validation and conduct data quality assessments, identifying and resolving data anomalies.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or possess an equivalent academic background.
• Programming Exposure: Familiarity with programming languages such as C# and Python.
• Database Skills: Experience with SQL and database management.
• Web Services: Familiarity with REST APIs and web services.
• Microsoft Technologies: Knowledge of the Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
