Job Description:
This is a 12-week paid internship for software developers focused on data pipelines, offering hands-on experience and mentorship within T-Mobile’s innovative environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Data Pipeline Development: Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging of both batch and streaming (real-time) data pipelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work with a team of developers to contribute to the overall codebase and actively participate in discussions.
• Documentation: Document code and software features for future reference.
• Research & Innovation: Conduct research to support the development of new features or improvements and contribute ideas for improving existing processes.
• Code Reviews & Agile Development: Participate in code reviews, sprints, and agile ceremonies.
• Project Support: Support senior developers in ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the development of data pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
• Collaborating with a team of developers to contribute to the codebase.
• Documenting code and software features for future reference.
• Conducting research to support the development of new features or improvements.
• Participating in code reviews, sprints, and agile ceremonies.
• Providing support to senior developers in ongoing projects.
What It Takes:
• Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree or graduate program in Engineering disciplines (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering)
• Pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with analytics products, data collection methodologies, data modeling, and omni-channel data integration.
• Proficiency with data processing tools, analytics tools, and data visualization products including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and similar technologies.
• Familiarity with machine learning environments and exploration tools including Java, Apache Spark, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, R, and Scala.
• Hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle SQL, and/or Spark SQL.
• A genuine passion for data & AI.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Accomplished collaborator with a true bias for action.
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program.
• Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships.
• Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position.
• Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
• Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
