Job Description:

Audax Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated Software Development Intern to join the business solutions team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the design, development, and deployment of IT software applications. The intern will collaborate with various teams, including data engineering, reporting, strategic resources, and deal teams, to create or modify processes to fit business needs. A key focus will be on enhancing, testing, and documenting system workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in weekly and ad-hoc meetings across departments, engaging with stakeholders at all levels throughout the firm to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions.
• Develop and deploy automated processes using various programming languages or cloud-based tools.
• Designing, implementing, maintaining and scaling Audax’s data ecosystem.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
• Contribute to the development of REST APIs and other backend services.
• Play an integral role in designing ETL processes and analytic pipeline for investment professionals.
• Provide data validation and data quality assessments. Identifying and resolving data anomalies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent academic background).
• Exposure to various programming languages such as C# and Python.
• Experience with SQL and database management.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of the Power Platform including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate and MS Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to interact in an efficient and meaningful way with all levels of the organization.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
