About the Job
The Software Development Engineer Intern (Summer 2024) is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications for Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is a secure cloud services platform that offers compute, storage, database, analytics, networking, mobile, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) services to help organizations scale and grow their businesses in the cloud.
As a Software Development Engineer Intern, you will work on a variety of projects, including:
• Developing new features for AWS services
• Maintaining and improving existing AWS services
• Working with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
• Designing and implementing software solutions
• Testing and debugging software
• Collaborating with other engineers and product managers
Qualifications
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
