Software Consulting Engineer (Intern) Job Description

This is an on-site internship based in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities:

Drive Solution Delivery Improvements: Utilize automation, testing, and best practices to optimize deployments, accelerate customer value realization, and enhance service reliability.
Integrate Automation: Collaborate with professional services delivery, product management, and business unit teams to integrate automation into offerings, improving quality and customer experience.
Transformational Initiatives: Participate in initiatives to define and improve new delivery methodologies aligned with DevOps and SRE models.

Qualifications:

Technical Background: Must be a graduate or upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program. This could include programs from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College, or 4-Year University.
Technical Skills:
Strong Foundation: Knowledge of Linux, Networking concepts, OS fundamentals, Embedded Development, and/or Machine Learning.
Programming Expertise: Up-to-date on programming and scripting languages: C/C++, Python, Java.
Quality Assurance: Hands-on experience with QA, Testing, and/or Debugging.
Database and Web Development: Experience with Databases, Web Application Development, and Web Services.
Soft Skills:
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment, as well as independently.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
Adaptability: Willingness to embrace new challenges and develop new skills.
Communication: Fluent in English (both oral and written).
Legal Requirements: Must be able to legally live and work in the United States without visa support or sponsorship.

Compensation: $44,000 – $130,000 per year (based on experience and performance).
