Job Description: Social Media Marketing Intern
Tiny Spoon Chef is seeking a part-time Social Media Marketing Intern for a 12-week term (May-August). This role is designed to boost brand awareness, engagement, and support overall marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, creative individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for social media.
Responsibilities: This internship encompasses various aspects of social media management, content creation, and SEO. Specific tasks include:
• Content Creation: Assisting in the creation of engaging, on-brand content for various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, blogs, and email marketing). This involves editing photos, graphics, and videos; writing compelling captions and blog excerpts; repurposing existing content; and coordinating behind-the-scenes content capture.
• Social Media Engagement: Monitoring and responding to comments, DMs, and tagged posts across all platforms. Actively engaging with the Tiny Spoon Chef community through likes, comments, and interactions. Researching trending hashtags and engagement tactics to improve reach. Tracking and reporting on key social media metrics (growth and engagement).
• Content Strategy & Planning: Assisting in developing a content calendar for social media and blog posts. Curating posts for relevant national holidays. Collaborating with the marketing team to align messaging with campaigns and promotions. Identifying opportunities for collaborations and user-generated content.
• SEO & Website Tasks: Optimizing blog content for SEO (keyword research, meta descriptions). Updating website copy and images. Assisting with backlink outreach and partnership opportunities to improve domain authority. Monitoring website traffic analytics and reporting insights.
Tools & Platforms Used: The intern will utilize a variety of tools, including social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn), content creation software (Canva, CapCut), SEO and analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot), and project management platforms (Asana, Google Drive).
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related design field.
Intern Expectations:
• Proactive, creative, and receptive to feedback.
• Maintaining brand consistency and voice across all content.
• Meeting deadlines and effectively managing time.
• Contributing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the team.
Compensation & Schedule:
• Pay: $18-19 per hour
• Schedule: Part-time, dayshift, Monday-Friday.
