Job Description: Social Media Marketing Intern

This is an unpaid, 4-month hybrid internship based in the North Hollywood Office, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office. The internship has a potential for a part-time/full-time offer upon successful completion of the 4-month period. The expected start date is August 1st, 2025.

Role Overview:
The Intern will play an integral role in the company’s social media marketing efforts. This involves being deeply involved with planning, executing, editing, and assisting all social media marketing campaigns. A key responsibility is maintaining branding language consistency across all content while delivering high-quality contributions, including new ideas, strategies, and anticipated results.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting social media trend research specifically on Instagram and TikTok.
• Generating content creation requests and developing content briefs based on approved trends for specific brand channels.
• Performing daily management tasks for Urban Unity’s social accounts.
• Assisting in the creation of content executions and participating in brainstorming sessions.
• Collaborating as a team member with other interns and managers on various social media projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: Must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a university degree or college diploma in relevant fields such as business marketing/administration, media, commerce, communications, PR, digital marketing, advertising, or a related discipline.
Organizational & Time Management Skills: Demonstrates a detail-oriented approach, good time management skills in a changing environment, strong organizational skills including prioritization, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Learning & Passion: Exhibits excellent attention to detail, a high motivation to learn, and a strong passion for social media, trends, and fashion.
Strategic & Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of thinking and acting both strategically and tactically, and possessing strong problem-solving skills.
Communication Skills: Possesses strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with the ability to summarize and communicate important data effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Must be familiar with graphic and video editing applications such as Canva, Photoshop, or Capcut.
