Job Description

SVA is seeking a driven and creative Social Media Marketing Intern to support content development and community growth for a prominent voice in the insurance and sales space.

Role Overview:
This internship is ideal for a student passionate about digital culture, entrepreneurship, and personal branding. The intern will learn how social media plays a crucial role in expanding a thought leader’s online presence, gaining hands-on experience in managing a high-performing personal brand and building a community focused on professional growth, financial literacy, and business leadership. The role involves assisting with content creation, audience engagement, and brand strategy for a fast-paced, influencer-led business.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should:
• Possess a strong interest in entrepreneurship, sales, business leadership, or personal finance.
• Be comfortable creating and editing short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Understand how to communicate a professional brand voice in a clear, engaging, and motivational manner.
• Stay up-to-date with social media trends and be capable of adapting them for a business-minded audience.
• Be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Currently be pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business, media, or a related field.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The Social Media Marketing Intern will:
Collaborate with the team to develop Social and Digital campaigns from start to finish.
• Work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure running projects are carried out through the entire pitch and production process.
• Focus on developing concepts and executing Instagram feed posts and stories on a range of topics.
• Participate in on-site shoots, photographing and filming content for Instagram and TikTok.

• Have an interest or skill in photography or videography (this is necessary).
• Be open to learning and mastering any tools that will build their skills.

• Possess the ability to quickly master the visual brand language and have the motivation and inventiveness to actively participate in its evolution.
• Demonstrate strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Show empathy for the customer and their needs, as well as for teammates.
• Have the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Be highly organized with sharp attention to detail.

Position Details:
Duration: From ASAP until December 1.
Hours: 15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
Location: On-site, requiring the intern to be able to commute for filming in San Francisco.
Compensation: The position is unpaid, but college credit is available upon request.
