This model focuses on real people recommending products they love within their own communities, moving away from reliance on influencers or paid advertisements. Shopmigos empowers passionate individuals to become trusted sellers by providing them with the necessary tools and training to grow their own product-based businesses. The company partners with both emerging and established brands to facilitate authentic discovery and local reach through human connection, aiming to build a more honest, community-first approach to commerce where trust and relationships are prioritized over algorithms. As Shopmigos expands its brand and seller network, it is seeking its first Marketing Intern to establish a strong presence across various platforms and communicate the Shopmigos story.

The Job: Social Media Marketing Intern

The Social Media Marketing Intern will be responsible for a range of tasks supporting Shopmigos’ digital presence and marketing efforts. Key responsibilities include:

Content Creation and Management: Developing and managing social media content across various platforms.
Digital Marketing Support: Assisting with digital marketing campaigns.
Marketing Team Assistance: Providing support to the broader marketing team on various tasks.

Day-to-day duties specifically involve content creation, scheduling, and analyzing social media posts, as well as engaging directly with the audience across multiple platforms.

Compensation:

This is a merit-based internship with performance rewards. The role is initially unpaid. However, candidates who successfully contribute to growing Shopmigos’ social media presence to over 10,000 followers and generate meaningful customer acquisition will be eligible for a performance bonus of $1,000–$1,200. This opportunity is presented as a valuable chance for individuals to build their professional portfolio and make a measurable impact at an early-stage startup.

Qualifications:

Candidates for this role should possess the following skills and attributes:

• Strong abilities in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation.
• Proficiency in Digital Marketing.
• Must own a smartphone.
• Comfort and experience in establishing and maintaining multiple social media accounts across mainstream channels, including TikTok, IG, WhatsApp, FB, Discord, X, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
• A strong command of social media editing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with learning on the job and working independently.
• Currently earning or holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
