Job Type:
This is a part-time, and unpaid internship. It is ideally suited for students currently pursuing or who have recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. The role requires the intern to be local to the Phoenix Metro Area and capable of commuting to the ASU Tempe campus once to twice a week. This in-person component is crucial for fostering teamwork and preparing the intern for a professional work environment, with free parking provided.

Role: Social Media Manager

Role Description:
As a Social Media Manager at RoomieHub, you will be a creative and enthusiastic individual responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s social media presence. Your key objective will be to build a strong brand identity for RoomieHub, effectively engage with its target audience, and develop and execute the overarching social media strategy. This role is pivotal in driving app downloads, increasing user engagement, and fostering a vibrant community around the RoomieHub platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve creating and scheduling posts, actively monitoring various social media channels, interacting with the audience, and meticulously analyzing social media performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with RoomieHub’s marketing goals and resonates with its target audience, including students, young professionals, and individuals sharing living spaces.
Content Creation and Management: Generate engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and others. This includes crafting text posts, designing compelling images, producing dynamic videos, and creating engaging stories.
Community Engagement: Proactively interact with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally. Foster a positive, supportive, and active online community for RoomieHub.
Platform Management: Maintain and optimize all social media profiles, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms. Stay abreast of platform best practices and any algorithm changes to maximize reach and engagement.
Social Listening and Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor social media trends, competitor activities, and relevant industry conversations. Utilize these insights to identify new opportunities and inform content strategy.
Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key social media metrics, including reach, engagement rates, website traffic, and follower growth. Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and provide regular reports with actionable insights to inform future strategies.
Paid Social Media Campaigns: Plan, execute, and manage paid social media campaigns designed to reach specific target audiences and achieve marketing objectives, such as increasing app downloads and enhancing brand awareness.
