About The Opportunity

Sparkloft Media is looking for a Social Media Intern who’s passionate about digital culture and ready to roll up their sleeves. The intern will be supporting client teams—especially in travel, tourism, and lifestyle—across strategy, content, and community. This is a hands-on internship that provides real opportunities for impact and growth.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and publish content (copy + visuals) for major social platforms
• Engage and grow online communities through direct interaction
• Monitor social media sentiment and flag emerging trends
• Contribute creative concepts and brainstorm campaign ideas
• Support influencer identification and outreach
• Track performance metrics and assist with reporting and insights
• Stay up-to-date on trends, tools, and best practices in digital and social media
• Learn legal and compliance basics for social media publishing
• Collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and account teams

Who You Are

• Is majoring in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
• Has real-world experience managing social platforms (e.g., student orgs, freelance work, or a personal brand)
• Understands paid, earned, shared, and owned media
• Writes clearly, creatively, and confidently
• Thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
• Has a customer-first mindset and great people skills
• Is highly organized and can juggle multiple tasks
• Is curious about the world, new technologies, and big ideas
• Has an eye for what performs and why
• Proficient in understanding and applying AI tools to enhance workflows and outcomes

Bonus Points If You:

• Have design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
• Know your way around a DSLR or mobile photography
• Have a passion for sports or tourism
• Speak Spanish

Internship Details

Location: Atlanta, Portland, or Miami
Status: Part-time, paid internship
Duration: Seasonal or semester-based, flexible to fit academic schedule
Work Style: Hybrid (in-office Tues, Wed, & Thurs —with potential for up to 5 days/week)
