Job Description:
IWF is seeking a Social Media Intern to join its communications department. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting IWF’s social media presence across all major platforms, gaining valuable experience in developing and implementing effective social media strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Strategy & Content Development: Help develop impact-oriented social media strategies to increase brand awareness, educate on key issues, and advocate for IWF’s policy priorities. Assist in drafting engaging, error-free content for various social media platforms.
• Visual Content Collaboration: Work with the design and digital teams to produce compelling visual content that effectively informs, engages, and delivers results.
• Community Engagement: Interact with social media followers, responding to messages, inquiries, and comments to foster an active and engaged audience.
• Group Moderation: Monitor content within private Facebook groups, ensuring members adhere to community guidelines and maintaining a positive environment.
• Performance Analysis: Provide accurate social media metrics to team members and contribute to reports, tracking trends to identify what strategies are most effective.
• Rapid Response: Remain aware of public discourse surrounding IWF and support in responding to relevant conversations when necessary.
• Audience Cultivation: Help cultivate an active and engaged audience on social media platforms.

Other Details:
• The Social Media Intern reports to IWF’s Social Media Manager.
• The internship includes a stipend and one-on-one guidance, as well as connection with like-minded women.
