Social Media Intern Description
Sony Electronics is seeking a Social Media Intern to join their Community Marketing team.
Responsibilities:
• Daily searches for UGC through tagged mentions and hashtags
• Provide weekly summary of strong content and initiate outreach to creators
• Partner with the influencer team to funnel creators into seeding programs
• Develop a weekly trend report
• Work with the internal creative team to develop organic social content
• Manage IG takeovers (attend events and create real-time story content)
• Assist with reporting (from social tools to internal monthly reporting)
• Copywriting and posting support for content planning
• Interact with tagged content
Minimum Requirements:
• Program runs January 15 to May 15
• 20 hours per week commitment (in office Tuesday and Wednesday, remote Thursday)
• Rising junior or senior in collegiate program with a 3.0 GPA or above
• Previous internship experience in marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of social media (all platforms)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel, and Word)
• Professional demeanor and a strong desire to learn
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to travel and work weekend events as needed

Compensation:
• Anticipated annual base salary of $20 to $25 (excluding benefits)
• Limited benefits package including healthcare, vacation time, and paid sick leave
