Internship Description:

Circle K is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team in Arizona. This dynamic internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing within the retail industry.

As a Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication channels for our division’s express car washes and various functional departments. You will regularly collaborate and coordinate efforts with diverse parts of the organization, including Marketing, Operational Excellence, Operations, and HR.

This position is ideal for individuals eager to work in a fast-paced team environment. By the end of the internship, you will have acquired a broad range of experience across various aspects of marketing and communication, significantly enhancing your professional portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Organic Social Media Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to grow followers, increase reach, and improve engagement across our social media platforms.
• Content Creation: Actively create engaging and relevant content tailored for different social media channels.
• Collaboration: Regularly interact and coordinate efforts with Marketing, Operational Excellence, Operations, and HR departments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Social Media Proficiency: Proficient knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar and copywriting abilities.
• Creative Mindset: A passion for digital marketing, social media marketing, and content creation.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Team & Independent Work: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability: Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
• Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel around the PHX Valley as needed.
• Office Presence: Must be able to travel into the Tempe Office for occasional meetings.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills (A Plus):

• Tools Knowledge: Basic knowledge of social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
• Design/Editing Tools: Familiarity with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
• Prior Experience: Previous internship or experience in social media or digital marketing.

Work Details:

• Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week.
• Work Model: Hybrid (mix of remote and in-office presence).
