This is a full-time Social Media Intern position for Winter 2026 (January – April).

Eligibility:
• Current student or graduated within 6 months of the start date.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
For US roles, specific export control requirements may apply: Candidates must qualify as U.S. Persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, or protected individual like a refugee or asylee) or be eligible for an applicable export license.

Location Preference:
• Preference for interns located in the San Francisco Bay Area or able to work from Palo Alto, CA.

Role Mission & Overview:
The core mission of this role is to connect Groq with its 2M+ developer community on social media. The intern will be responsible for crafting messages that resonate with this audience and for rethinking how the company reaches them entirely. This involves creative experimentation with various content formats, including stories, videos, demos, data visualizations, and even memes. The role encourages a socially native individual to bring a fresh perspective, experimenting with authentic ways to engage developers across diverse channels such as Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, and others.

Key Responsibilities & Opportunities:
Channel Growth: Support and contribute to the growth of Groq’s social media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging platforms.
Content Creation (Copy): Develop compelling and engaging copy specifically designed to resonate with developers and stand out in a competitive market.
Dynamic Asset Creation: Create, or collaborate with others to develop, a variety of dynamic assets such as images, videos, animated content, data visualizations, and memes.
Storytelling & Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to identify and elevate engaging developer and customer stories for social distribution.
Thought Leader Engagement: Creatively engage with prominent AI thought leaders, integrating them with the Groq brand.
Community Engagement: Proactively interact with Groq’s growing community of over 2 million developers through both owned social media channels and utilizing social listening tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Socially Native: Possesses an inherent understanding of social media platforms and trends; ideally has experience growing their own or company accounts in the past.
Tool Familiarity: Familiar with popular editing tools (e.g., for images, videos). Bonus points for experience with cutting-edge AI tools.
Passion for the Industry: Enthusiastic about Artificial Intelligence (AI), startup environments, and the broader builder/developer community.
Mindset: Demonstrates a creative and experimental approach to problem-solving and content generation.

Compensation:
• For non-technical internships in the US, the pay range is $30-$40 per hour.
• Compensation is determined by factors such as location, skills, qualifications, experience, and internal benchmarks.
• Compensation for candidates outside the USA will be dependent on the local market.
