About Company

CliquePrize® is an iPhone mobile app designed to help local brick & mortar small businesses, referred to as Sponsors, achieve growth. It facilitates this growth through giveaways and other interactive promotions. The app’s core function is to capture leads (i.e., name, email, mobile, zip) through a one-click entry system for these giveaways, ultimately helping businesses expand with offers, coupons, and specials. CliquePrize® is seeking to cover its Los Angeles, CA, and Dallas, TX Metro Markets.

Job Description

Position Title: Social Media (Academic Credit only – non paid) Intern

Commitment & Schedule:
• Commitment to 1 weekly meeting with the Social Media team.
2 hours per day during weekdays.
• Work at your own pace; no set hours.
No flakes.
• Students based in the LA area will get priority.

Core Components of the Position:
This internship entails three primary components:
1. Content creation
2. Community Social Listening
3. PR

What You’ll Do (Detailed Responsibilities):

1) Content Creation for Your Metro Market:
You will create content covering industries within our core categories, which include but are not limited to:
Beauty: Hair Salons, Nails, Tanning, Eyelashes.
Health: MedSpas, Dermatology, Skincare, Chiropractic.
Retail: Bridal Shops, Retail Stores, Furniture Stores.
Fitness: Gyms, Yoga, Pilates, Kickboxing.
Home Improvement: Interior Designers, Real Estate.
Events: Party Rental, Escape Rooms, Tourism.
Learning: Karate, Music, Swim Schools.
Technicians: HVAC, Automotive.
Food: Bars, Restaurants, Food Trucks.
Pet Services: Kennels, Veterinary Clinics.
Childcare & Family Services: Daycares, Tutoring Centers.
Wellness & Alternative Health: Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Holistic Centers.

2) Public Relations (PR):
Write compelling media pitches focused on how small businesses are effectively using giveaways as an alternative to paid advertisements, with the goal of capturing local leads marketing lists.
Pitch to various media outlets including blogs, small business podcasts, local newspapers, and small business trade publications.
Track results and report outreach weekly.
Develop short-form success stories based on use case examples (support will be provided for mathematical data).
Assist with press release formatting and occasional LinkedIn/email copy.
Develop a comprehensive PR strategy for blogs, podcasts, and press distribution.

3) Social Listening:
• Utilize tools like TweetDeck and other social listening platforms to monitor online communities (e.g., Facebook groups, WhatsApp, Quora, NextDoor, Reddit, etc.).
Respond to Small Business Owners who are seeking solutions for cash flow and growth issues.
Identify new groups and actively respond to relevant posts.
