Job Description – Social Media Intern
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about social media and marketing to gain practical experience within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Content Creation and Management: Manage the Dining Services social media accounts, plan social media calendars, and create engaging content.
• Campaign Development: Brainstorm and implement creative social media campaigns to promote dining services on campus.
• Engagement Strategies: Develop and execute strategies to encourage user interaction through contests, giveaways, and other engaging tactics.
• Event Promotion: Promote campus dining events, promotions, and new menu items on social media platforms.
• Crisis Communication: Share timely updates on closures, weather emergencies, and other relevant information.
• Analytics & Reporting: Analyze social media data to measure campaign success and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Website Management: Update and maintain the Dineoncampus.com website.
• Press Relations: Create and share press releases for significant dining news.
• Customer Service: Engage with students, faculty/staff, and visitors on social media to provide exceptional customer service and support.
• Process Improvement: Propose ideas to enhance the customer experience on social platforms and streamline internal processes.
• Software Proficiency: Become proficient in various internal software systems.
Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience and a strong understanding of customer service principles.
• Deep knowledge of various social media platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• General interest in and knowledge of marketing principles.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (a plus).
• Previous marketing experience (a plus).
