Job Description: Social Media Intern

Champion Home Builders is seeking a remote Social Media Intern to join its corporate team, which is based in Troy, MI, although the position itself is entirely remote.

Role Summary:
The Social Media Intern will play a key role in assisting the nationwide homebuilder with the management and growth of its social media presence across multiple brands.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: Actively manages and monitors the company’s various brand accounts on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.
Content Creation & Scheduling:
• Brainstorms innovative content ideas.
• Develops and creates structured editorial calendars for content distribution.
• Uploads prepared content to the respective social media pages.
Copywriting: Crafts engaging and platform-appropriate language for all social media posts.
Visual Content Production: Responsible for creating graphics and editing videos to be used across social platforms.
Community Engagement: Responds promptly and professionally to messages and comments received on all social media platforms, ensuring an excellent customer service experience.
Performance Analysis: Analyzes post metrics and data to effectively determine the success and impact of published content.
Research & Strategy: Conducts research on current social media trends and successful strategies, providing informed suggestions based on their findings to enhance the company’s social media efforts.

Hours & Compensation:
Hours: The position offers flexible hours, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Compensation: This is a paid position.

Required Skills:
Social Media Proficiency: Must be proficient in using various social media platforms.
Social Media Marketing Familiarity: Possess familiarity with social media marketing principles and practices.
Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Design & Editing Tools: Familiar with graphic design and video editing tools.

Education / Experience:
• Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Design.
