This is a Social Media Intern position, ideal for an energetic, creative college student looking for hands-on experience in digital marketing. The intern will work on challenging and meaningful projects, gaining valuable insights and guidance from a mentor and other staff members.
The primary goal of this role is to support the digital media staff in developing and implementing outreach and promotional campaigns. This includes boosting brand engagement and contributing to increased revenue through various digital channels.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Campaign Support: Assisting with the design and execution of social media campaigns.
• Content Calendar Management: Creating weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands across various social media platforms.
• Content Creation & Distribution:
• Creating and distributing diverse content formats such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases.
• Publishing content on both social media and traditional news outlets.
• Brainstorming and researching ideas for original content.
• Writing compelling social media captions tailored to the company’s target audience.
• Creating compelling graphics for social channels.
• Helping to create and edit short-form videos and assisting with general photo/video content.
• Engagement & Performance Tracking:
• Tracking social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
• Developing new strategies for increasing engagement across platforms.
• Responding to comments and direct messages (DMs) on social media platforms.
• Strategy & Research:
• Performing social media marketing research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assisting with influencer campaign strategy development.
• Event Support: Supporting the marketing team at both live and online events.
• Brand Consistency: Ensuring the brand message remains consistent across all digital communications.
