Job description
Title: Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern
Type: Remote, Part-time
Commitment: 5–10 hours/week
Start Date: September 2025
Duration: The internship supports the Fall 2025 Beta Launch.
Compensation: Unpaid for the initial 3 months, with a potential opportunity to transition to a paid team position based on mutual fit and performance.
Purpose of the Role:
The Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the Fall 2025 Beta Launch of SHiFT. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a movement that fuses storytelling, therapy, and personal development into a novel online experience, helping to redefine how people learn, grow, and heal.
Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Be Doing):
The intern will work directly with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to:
• Support and actively implement SHiFT’s social media and content strategy.
• Assist in the development, scheduling, and posting of engaging content across key platforms including Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Monitor social media analytics and report on campaign performance to facilitate optimization.
• Aid in influencer outreach efforts and general social engagement activities.
• Stay current with emerging trends in wellness, digital marketing, and mental health culture.
• Provide fresh ideas and creative input during content planning meetings.
Required Qualifications & Skills (What We’re Looking For):
• Currently enrolled as a student in UF’s Master’s in Digital Marketing program, or a related marketing field.
• A genuine and demonstrable interest in personal growth and mental wellness.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
• Competency with graphic design tools like Canva.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A creative, curious, and self-motivated approach to work.
Bonus Qualifications:
• Prior experience with short-form video editing software (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Rush).
