Social Media & Design Intern – Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media & Design Intern. You will be an integral part of our social media strategy, contributing to engaging content creation and fostering online community growth. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your design skills, helping to develop new products and special holiday items for our Shopify store.

Responsibilities:

• Social Media Content Creation: Collaborate with the Social Media Team to craft vibrant and engaging content for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. This includes writing captions, creating graphics, and developing video concepts.
• Strategic Planning: Participate in twice-weekly Brain Trust Meetings over Zoom to contribute to shaping our platform’s communication strategies.
• “Adventure Ted Chronicles”: Play a key role in the storytelling of “Adventure Ted Chronicles,” an Instagram comic series that highlights Adventure Ted’s superhero escapades. Contribute to developing compelling narratives and visually appealing artwork.
• Design & Product Development: Explore the rich design history of our products and contribute to envisioning new products and special holiday items for our Shopify store.
• Fundraising: Understand how “Adventure Ted Chronicles” and our products contribute to fundraising efforts that support our core missions.

Qualifications:

• Motivation, flexibility, and unwavering work ethic.
• A deep-rooted love for charity work, fundraising, and social media.
• Excellent communication, writing, and design skills.
• Proficient in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop).
• Previous internship experience in marketing or social media is a plus.
