Social Media & Design Intern Job Description

This is your chance to make a real difference in the lives of children with cancer!

As a Social Media & Design Intern at the Childhood Cancer Society, you will be a vital part of our team, contributing your creativity and passion to help us achieve our mission.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Content Creation: Collaborate with our Social Media Team to craft vibrant and engaging content for our platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Brain Trust Meetings: Actively participate in bi-weekly Zoom meetings with our leadership team to discuss communication strategies and brainstorm new ideas to enhance our online presence.
“Adventure Ted Chronicles” Storytelling: Play a key role in developing and expanding our Instagram comic series, “Adventure Ted Chronicles.” This series follows the superhero adventures of Adventure Ted and serves as a fun and engaging fundraising tool.
Design & Product Development: Join our design team to explore the rich design history of our products, available on our Shopify store. You’ll have the opportunity to envision new product ideas and create special holiday items.
Impact Promotion: Share inspiring stories of our impact, such as wish grant reveals, through various social media channels.

Requirements:

Passion for Making a Difference: A strong desire to be part of a team dedicated to improving the world for children facing cancer.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment, contributing your ideas and collaborating with others.
Creativity & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong creative flair.
Social Media Savvy: A deep understanding of social media platforms, including best practices and content strategies.
Motivated & Flexible: Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
Fundraising & Charity Enthusiasm: A genuine interest in charity work, fundraising, and social media as tools for positive change.
Previous Internship Experience (Optional): Prior internship experience in marketing or social media is a plus.
