Job Description: Social Media & Athlete Relations Intern

Role Title: Social Media & Athlete Relations Intern

Nature of Internship:
This is an unpaid internship opportunity that offers flexible, remote work. It provides a pathway for performance-based growth opportunities, including potential pay raises and long-term roles within the company.

Primary Focus of the Role:
The intern will be a crucial part of managing Electro Gum’s relationship with its athlete ambassadors. The core focus is on athlete communications and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). The goal is to ensure that every athlete ambassador experiences a seamless, professional, and personal interaction with Electro Gum. The intern will serve as the “voice of the brand in athlete DMs” and play a vital role in building the athlete community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily DM Management: Respond to athlete Direct Messages (DMs) on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy, speed, and professionalism in all communications.
• Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with athletes through clear, supportive, and consistent communication.
• Query Resolution: Answer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and resolve athlete questions effectively, utilizing provided playbooks and resources.
• Issue Escalation: Quickly escalate any unique requests or complex issues to the founding team for resolution.
• CRM Management: Accurately log and track all athlete interactions within the company’s CRM systems, specifically Notion and Social Snowball.
• Brand Representation: Consistently represent Electro Gum’s brand voice, embodying energy, positivity, and care in all interactions.

Required Qualifications:

• Communication Skills: Excellent written English and strong overall communication abilities.
• Attention to Detail & Reliability: High level of attention to detail and proven reliability, with an emphasis on preventing errors during athlete onboarding processes.
• Technical Comfort: Comfortable using Instagram DMs and basic CRM tools.
• Volume Management: Ability to effectively manage a high volume of athlete communications.
• Passion (Preferred): A passion for sports, NIL (Name, Image, Likeness), and athlete culture is preferred, but not strictly required.
