Social Media and Design Intern Job Description
We’re seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media and Design Intern. You will play a key role in shaping our digital presence and contributing to our fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Social Media:
• Collaborate closely with the Social Media Team to craft engaging and vibrant content for our platforms.
• Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
• Track and analyze social media performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices.
• “Adventure Ted Chronicles” Storytelling:
• Play an integral role in the storytelling of our Instagram comic series, “Adventure Ted Chronicles.”
• Assist in developing new episodes, ensuring they are both entertaining and aligned with our fundraising goals.
• Contribute to the creative direction and design of the comic series.
• Product Design:
• Explore the rich design history of our products available at the Childhood Cancer Society Shopify store.
• Contribute to the brainstorming and conceptualization of new products and special holiday items.
• Assist with creating visual mockups and prototypes for new product ideas.
• Team Collaboration:
• Attend bi-weekly Brain Trust Meetings over Zoom to contribute to shaping our platform’s communication strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure a cohesive brand message across all platforms.
Qualifications:

• A deep-rooted love for charity work, fundraising, and social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong visual design skills and an understanding of design principles.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
• Previous internship experience in marketing or social media is a plus.
