Social Media and Boost Intern Job Description

This position is a combination of Social Media Intern and Boost Intern roles.

Social Media Intern Responsibilities:

• Create engaging social media reels that capture the dining experience at Boise State University.
• Collaborate on creating reels to increase engagement with the Boost app.
• Develop a weekly social media content calendar.

Boost Intern Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Boise State Dining and the Boost Marketing Team to promote the Boost mobile ordering app.
• Drive app awareness, adoption, and usage through marketing campaigns, social media, experiential marketing, and more.
• Assist with creating campaigns and promotional opportunities to increase app use.
• Help plan, organize, and host Boost tabling events.
• Create Boost social media content, including photos, videos, and reels.
• Assist with developing and promoting the social media calendar.
• Act as a brand representative for Boost.
• Become digitally certified through Boost Marketing & technology modules.
• Survey students to gather marketing research.
• Order and edit marketing materials through the Boost Higher Ed Portal.
• Manage signage in multiple locations.
• Track app downloads via QR code and social download links.
• Report on key marketing metrics.

Hours: 25 hours per week, in-person (10 hours for Boost, 15 hours for Social Media)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in social media and video editing.
• Experience using Canva, Photoshop, or other photo editors.
• Availability Monday-Thursday to work on content creation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service experience/knowledge.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• General interest and knowledge of marketing and technology.
• Prior marketing-related experience is a plus.
