Job Description: SkillBridge Internship – Human Resources (100% Remote)
Citizant seeks a motivated, people- and process-oriented intern for their Human Resources department. This structured internship program provides on-the-job training and instruction to develop existing military technical experience. The intern will learn and perform duties in the following areas:
• Onboarding: Understanding the complete onboarding process (from hiring approval to 90 days post-start), assisting with checklist completion to ensure timely completion of HR activities.
• Employee Relations: Performing routine tasks related to HR programs (compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management), responding to employee inquiries about HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related issues.
• Learning and Development: Reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training (including anti-harassment, business ethics, certifications, and tuition reimbursement).
• Employee Engagement, Recognition, and Programs: Assisting in planning company events and tracking year-of-service milestone awards.
• Offboarding: Assisting with termination processing.
Required Qualifications:
• Active-duty U.S. Military Service Member eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to learn Citizant’s employee management systems quickly.
• Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
