• Mission: To detect and prevent insurance fraud by conducting thorough investigations and uncovering inconsistencies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigate Suspicious Claims: Conduct comprehensive and in-depth investigations into suspicious insurance claims, meticulously examining all available evidence to ascertain validity and uncover potential fraudulent activity.
• Conduct Interviews & Statements: Proactively interview claimants, witnesses, and all other involved parties to gather crucial information, carefully obtaining detailed written and recorded statements to build a robust case foundation.
• Analyze and Detect Fraud: Leverage strong analytical skills to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and emerging fraud patterns within claim documentation and interview responses, ultimately detecting fraudulent schemes.
• Perform Field & Scene Work: Execute essential field investigations and thorough scene inspections, gathering physical evidence and contextual information critical for case development, often working independently.
• Document & Collaborate: Accurately document all investigative findings in clear, professional reports, maintaining precise records. Collaborate effectively with legal teams and law enforcement agencies when the investigation requires their involvement or expertise.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, demonstrating a foundational understanding and capacity for analytical work. This is an entry-level position where foundational academic achievement is valued over prior professional experience.
• Experience: This role is ideal for motivated graduates with no prior investigative experience; Lemieux & Associates is committed to providing comprehensive training and mentorship from seasoned investigators to ensure a successful transition into the field.
• Skills: Essential skills include strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to dissect complex cases, excellent communication and clear writing skills for interviewing and reporting, meticulous attention to detail combined with inherent curiosity to uncover hidden facts, and the proven ability to work independently while effectively managing a caseload.
• Bonus: A degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field is preferred, as it often provides a strong theoretical basis for investigative work.
