Job Description:
Position: Showroom Intern (HOLLY HUNT)
Reports to: General Manager
Duration: 6-9 months (ideally)
This internship offers the chance to gain a solid understanding of the “to the trade” design industry, working within the HOLLY HUNT showroom.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Memo Management: Pulling memos for clients, both in the showroom and for mail-out requests.
• Inventory Control: Managing inventory for all lines represented by the showroom. Re-ordering memos and brochures. Receiving new inventory shipments.
• Event Support: Assisting with showroom-related events.
• Sales Support: Providing assistance to outside sales representatives during road programs and inside sales representatives during in-showroom appointments.
• Merchandising: Assisting with merchandising textile, wallcovering, and leather displays within the showroom.
• Daily Showroom Duties: Tidying the textile floor area, filing memos, finish samples, and tear sheets.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ideal candidates will be working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field or have equivalent work experience.
• Ideal candidates will have some experience working in a retail or showroom environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to perform some light lifting (20lbs – 30lbs max).
• Basic computer skills.
