About the Company:
This internship is with Disney, specifically supporting television shows produced by its banners: 20th Television, FXP, and Disney Branded Television. The role is located in a North Hollywood warehouse that manages set inventory and provides logistical support to these productions.
Detailed Job Description:
This internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at television production, focusing on the logistical aspects of set management and warehouse operations. The intern will work directly with the Manager of Set Inventory and will be involved in various aspects of the warehouse’s functioning.
Responsibilities include:
• Set Inventory Management: This is the primary focus. The intern will learn to track, search, and update the set inventory database, logging new sets with detailed information (measurements, design characteristics, history, digital photographs).
• Logistical Support: Assisting with the creation of set transportation memos and coordinating billing/invoicing for sets and transportation. Collaboration with productions and third-party storage facilities on invoice and billing matters will also be involved.
• Administrative Duties: General office tasks such as scheduling meetings, distributing documents, and updating the department website.
• Collaboration: Working with internal production teams and show-level contacts in the Art and Construction departments.
• Special Project: Developing and presenting a project to the Production Shared Services leadership team at the internship’s conclusion. Guidance from the team will be provided.
The internship provides hands-on experience in managing a television set rental/library business, emphasizing cost savings, reuse, and sustainability. The intern will gain insight into asset management and the overall administration of a television production warehouse.
