The Tone:
This is a full-time trainee program at MetLife, designed for recent college graduates with limited professional experience. MetLife is the nation’s largest non-medical carrier of group insurance, impacting over 55,000 customers and covering more than 50 million employees and family members. This role is crucial for delivering tailored benefits solutions across life, disability, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits. You will transition into a full-time Client Service Consultant, providing essential customer-centric support and managing customer relationships and satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Actively participate in the 4-month Service Academy Program, completing all required MetLife learning and training modules to build a strong foundational understanding of the employee benefits industry.
• Collaborate directly with a seasoned service professional, who serves as a mentor, to gain exposure to MetLife’s diverse products, operational platforms, and customer service strategies through direct engagement and client meetings.
• Support an assigned block of customers by applying learned MetLife systems and processes, partnering with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver on customer needs, provide consultative problem-solving, and manage the end-to-end customer experience.
• Engage in client audits and contribute to the strategic planning process, generating reports to track activities, identify trends, and evaluate progress against defined strategies.
• Utilize approved AI tools to streamline routine tasks such as drafting communications, summarizing information, organizing data, and enhancing overall day-to-day efficiency.

• Background: Entry-Level, recent college graduates focusing on building a career in client service and customer success management.
• Experience: Limited work experience in a related field, with the ability to quickly learn new applications, systems, and processes.
• Skills: Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, and a working knowledge of AI capabilities.
• Bonus: 0-3 years of customer-service or account management experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
