The Games UI Team

The Games UI team at Netflix is responsible for the platform’s user interface across all devices, including discovery experiences and in-game platform functionality. This includes a standalone phone controller app on iOS for playing games on TV.

The team strives to bring a new kind of joy to members by developing engaging and interactive experiences. They partner with other cross-functional teams, including product management, experience design, and creative production, to achieve this goal.

The Role: Senior Web UI Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to build user-friendly and accessible experiences.
• Develop UI systems for discovering and playing games on the Netflix platform.
• Architect maintainable and performant Web client code with clear documentation for other developers.
• Drive client code consistency and simplicity to accelerate A/B testing and maintain high product quality.
• Architect code for testability and write automated tests to ensure quality.
• Stay updated on cutting-edge Web and TV technologies and software engineering practices to modernize the code base and accelerate innovation.
• Foster a collaborative environment and share knowledge with others.

• Expert in Javascript, with experience in Typescript and React.

Compensation

The overall market range for roles in this area at Netflix is typically $270,000 – $720,000. This range is based on total compensation, including base salary, and reflects Netflix’s compensation philosophy.
