Senior Vice President, US Co-Investment Lead | Macquarie Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time leadership role at Macquarie Group, with options to be based in Chicago, Houston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, or fully remote where the company does not have an office presence. This role is crucial for leading the team’s efforts in raising co-investment capital from US-based limited partners to fund a strong pipeline of innovative, high-growth businesses. What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the team’s efforts in raising co-investment capital from US-based limited partners (both existing and new) to support the strong pipeline of investment opportunities.
• Cultivate: Cultivate and maintain appropriate relationships with a differentiated network of limited partners, including Registered Investment Advisors, family offices, wealth institutions, and other Qualified Purchasers.
• Execute: Execute US marketing efforts on new investment opportunities, which includes investor outreach and marketing, negotiations, and deal execution.
• Drive: Drive the team’s overall US capital formation strategy.
• Manage: Manage ongoing post-investment relationships with limited partners, with scope for taking greater leadership in deal origination efforts longer term.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior leadership career level (Senior Vice President) with foundational qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or other relevant technical disciplines.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally encompassing capital formation, or alternatively, significant experience in investment banking, venture or growth investing, or private banking, coupled with a demonstrated track record of successfully raising co-investment capital.
• Skills: Possession of a robust network of differentiated capital sources with a proven ability to influence decision-makers; a strong understanding or keen interest in the latest technology trends and companies; strong commercial judgment; excellent communication skills for presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders; a collaborative leadership style; and the ability to obtain all necessary appropriate licensing requirements.
