The Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our critical Platform Team. What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and resilient backend services using modern cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Drive architectural discussions and make key technical decisions that shape the future of our platform, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, code quality, and shared knowledge within the team.
• Develop and maintain critical infrastructure components, APIs, and shared libraries that empower product teams to build features efficiently and securely.
• Optimize system performance and reliability through meticulous code reviews, proactive monitoring, and efficient incident response and resolution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define requirements, deliver comprehensive solutions, and ensure seamless integration.
• Champion best practices in software development, including testing, CI/CD, documentation, and security, ensuring a high standard across the engineering organization.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to continuously improve our platform’s capabilities, efficiency, and future readiness.

Who You Are:

• Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on building scalable, distributed systems.
  • Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java, C#) and a willingness to learn others.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including extensive experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
  • Proven experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
  • Strong grasp of API design principles (RESTful, gRPC) and asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, make sound technical decisions, and influence architectural direction across teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
  • Familiarity with Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile development environment with continuous delivery.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading technical teams, formally or informally.
