The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core services and infrastructure that power our flagship products. You will tackle challenging technical problems, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape the future of our platform, ensuring it is robust, performant, and scalable to meet our rapidly expanding user base. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of our platform, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance performance, maintainability, and extensibility.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring the quality and consistency of the codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, implementing preventative measures to minimize recurrence.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools, recommending and implementing solutions that enhance our development processes and product capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems and distributed services.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C#.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Extensive experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a significant plus.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
